Daybreak approaches, swiftly, surely, to
A world unready, winter-dark’d, for light’s
Illumination, revelation, truth
Where, yet, some rise alert and early; night’s
Excuses swept from hands and minds. With cheer,
As those already seen, lives hid now, spent
But ready for revealing, in a clear
And certain future, preparing its advent.
For Earth’s true king is visiting His world
To dwell, to rule, displacing all that stands
Against his love, its weal. He comes, cloud-swirl’d
To trusted ready friends, repairing lands,
A world, a home, for him to love, inspect,
Release, complete, make holy, and perfect.
